Buyer beware!! Fell apart after 1 use :( The plastic pieces separate from the poles. The adjustment valve on one side is completely stuck so I cannot adjust sizing. Seller dismissed my contact...I'd honestly just like to exchange for hopefully one that is not defective but seller in not responding. Very disappointed in this purchase. I buy from Amazon very often and this has been my first issue with low quality merchandise.

^{Made of moderately thick, heavy material, canvas used to be the most popular among photography backdrops. For our session I tried to keep Mr. C about 3/4 of the way up from the lights on the wall and towards me (right around where you are seeing the garland and red ornaments in the above photo).  I was sitting only as far back from him as I had to, to get what I wanted of him in the frame (keeping in mind the three criteria above).  Using the garland and ornaments for props helped because he just played with them wherever I set them down.}

The key to getting those gorgeous big bubbles of light in the background is to locate your subject a decent distance from the lights while at the same time positioning yourself as close to your subject as you can be to get the shot you want and setting the aperture on your camera just about as wide open as you can. The further away your subject is from the lights, the closer your are to your subject and the wider the aperture…..the bigger the lights.

The fill light for this shoot is also a Profoto D1 1,000W strobe in a Westcott Apollo Orb, which is camera right and with the light sitting about waist height. This light is also pulled back a bit further than the main to give a wider spill. Since I am using my lights to do two jobs, lighting the subject and the background, I am not gridding and instead placing them so that one edge of the modifier is pointing towards the edge of the seamless and the other is towards the subject.
